Your website. Your accounts.
Set up your domain and hosting.
Buy your domain, create your GitHub repository, and host with Cloudflare in your own accounts. First Signal builds your website and delivers approved files. We do not host it or pay its domain and hosting bills.
1. Prepare your accounts
- Buy a domain from your chosen registrar using your own account and payment method.
- In your own GitHub account, create a dedicated website repository. Private is recommended. Initialize it with a README and use main as its default branch. Keep unrelated files out of this repository.
- In your own Cloudflare account, create a Pages project connected to that repository. Choose no framework, use exit 0 as the build command and . as the output directory. Your project gets a pages.dev address. It may have no working homepage until we deliver your approved files.
- Add your purchased domain in the Pages project's Custom domains section. Follow Cloudflare's DNS instructions. You accept provider terms directly with each provider.
3. Verify and connect
Add this TXT record through your domain's DNS provider. Keep it in place while First Signal delivers updates.
- Record name
- Record value
Select only your website repository when GitHub asks. The App remains installed for approved updates; you can uninstall it in GitHub at any time. Each delivery rechecks access.
4. Approve, deliver and verify
Cloudflare deploys from your repository. We mark the release live only after your Pages address and purchased domain both serve its verification record over HTTPS. Contact buttons open your email or phone directly; no First Signal contact-form server is required.
